Jody Dean

Jody Dean

Jody Dean has been in broadcasting for almost 35 years. Dean began his television career at WBAP-TV (KXAS) in 1973 on Channel 5’s Museum of Horrors, and began his radio career while in college at Abilene’s KEAN 105 FM.

Over the years, Jody has worked at some of Texas’ legendary radio stations - including Ft. Worth’s KXOL, and iconic Dallas stations KLIF and KRLD. For thirteen years, Dean worked with his mentor and friend Ron Chapman during the heyday of KVIL - serving as Morning Show producer, co-host, and writer. While there, Dean also served as associate producer and creative director of the Dallas Cowboys Radio Network.

Dean is also a published author, accomplished artist - and a highly-sought after public and motivational speaker. His hobbies and passions include deep-sea fishing, cooking, and baseball. Using his own failures and life-lessons, Dean is extensively involved in church and community work, particularly with children, the military and the homeless.

Jody and his wife Emily live in Ellis County. He has three children - Nolan, who is attending college in Georgia; Forrest, who is approaching graduation at Richland High School; and Madeline, who spends her time winding daddy around her little finger.
